I saw this play live in London a few years ago and had never laughed so hard, but I was in for disappointment at the DVD. If you're a huge RSC fan already, you'll probably like it, but otherwise, you might find yourself wondering why this is supposed to be funny. Part of the problem is Matt Croke, who just can't fill Adam's shoes. Another problem is the added material about George Dubbya. Not that I think they shouldn't take the obvious opportunities to parody the current administration, but it doesn't mesh well in to the existing show. There are some points during the DVD that I was a bit bored. The times I did laugh were worthy of a chuckle or snicker, but not the tears-streaming, doubled-over, can't-breathe laughter that I expected from them.
