Simon is upset that Oliver beat him to an old Constable. Simon pulled the old trick that he was only interested in the frame of the painting.

However in the spirit of friendship, Oliver offers the painting to Simon not apparently realising that it could be valuable.

Meanwhile both are initially overjoyed that Lyn and David have broken up as David admitted to drunkenly ogling another woman.

With both of their children miserable. Both fathers realise that they needed to get Lyn and David together. They just need to give them the wrong advice which thy will not listen to.

Another amusing episode and again it is when Windsor Davies and Donald Sinden are playing off each other. At times I was unsure if they were on the verge of corpsing or not.

Actress Lee Richards has a small role as a waitress. She used to specialise in playing barmaids in the 1980s and always brought her two big friends with her. I particularly found her role in The Two Ronnies bell ringing sketch especially memorable.
