As soon as guest-star Philip Michael Thomas walks in, the magic is almost back. It's not quite the reunion the producers - or I - would've liked (despite the hint of Jan Hammer and even a speedboat chase) because the two aren't partners here. It's clearly a visiting gig, and what's even stranger is Meatloaf and Tommy Chong have more to do in the story; Thomas gets lost in the guest-star shuffle.
What?!
But seriously, it is mildly disappointing. I'd never seen "Nash Bridges", so this was my intro. Admittedly, I came for the promise of Crockett and Tubbs, but it's an über-'90s Don Johnson vehicle; which seems like a take-it-or-leave-it situation.
But I do like the car.
