Kind of a wasted opportunity

As soon as guest-star Philip Michael Thomas walks in, the magic is almost back. It's not quite the reunion the producers - or I - would've liked (despite the hint of Jan Hammer and even a speedboat chase) because the two aren't partners here. It's clearly a visiting gig, and what's even stranger is Meatloaf and Tommy Chong have more to do in the story; Thomas gets lost in the guest-star shuffle.

What?!

But seriously, it is mildly disappointing. I'd never seen "Nash Bridges", so this was my intro. Admittedly, I came for the promise of Crockett and Tubbs, but it's an über-'90s Don Johnson vehicle; which seems like a take-it-or-leave-it situation.

But I do like the car.

I could never understand why don johnson hooked up with cheech marin to do this series ... he always has some money making scheme that never comes through and his swedish wife is way too beautiful to be with the total loser like marin ... johnson is still throwing bubbas right and left mainly because he can't remember names ... this is just one dumb episode ... miami vice it will never be bubba.
