Survival Training Time
DKosty12314 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This plot theme will be reused during this series run. The difference here is neither Roger Healy or Doctor Bellows know who Tony found on the beach. Roger gets to see her here but thinks she is a mirage on the desert.

Best aside- Tony blows on Jeannie's bottle a dew times for Roger's benefit on the desert. During the next scene Jeannie's says to Tony- "hay, what is the cool music (blow blow blow) you were doing on the bottle about?"

At least that is the meaning and she comes up with this line like is it an ad-lib and not in the script. Funny, and one of the best lines Jeannie has early in the series.

75 miles through Skull Flats

"Guess What Happened on the Way to the Moon?" is the first episode to put Tony and Roger through a survival mission, this one through a desert locale known as Skull Flats. Jeannie is forbidden from going along but sneaks into her master's water canteen. Despite his protests, Jeannie is able to nurse her injured master, whether chicken soup inside a tent, or roast lamb on the desert, Roger seeing Jeannie in all her Arabian splendor, wondering if he's cracking up. Dr. Bellows marvels how Captain Nelson could gain five pounds without food, and suffer saddle sores walking without shoes! In turn, Roger (still not privy to Jeannie's identity) wonders how his buddy can come up with the same mirages that he saw. This episode's one shot general is played by Byron Morrow.

Warning: Spoilers
Cast: Jeannie, Tony, Roger & Dr. Bellows This would mark the first episode where Roger starts to get funny. He was more serious in the first couple episodes. He and Tony are sent on a survival mission in the desert. Jeannie is told she cannot go, but she hides in his water bottle. Tony finds she is in the bottle and he tells Roger they need to split up. Now he is able to get her out of the bottle. Tony tries to send her back, but he falls off a rock and Jeannie nurses him back to health and blinks up a tent and feeds him a lot of food. Roger ends up going back to get help for Tony, but Tony has Jeannie blink up a camel so they can make sure Roger is OK. Tony ends up gaining 5 lbs and Roger loses 12 lbs. Tony convinces them in his mind, he did eat and drink and ride a camel and that's how he got thru it.
