Wonderful episode it made me laugh and cry. Dick Van Dyke was wonderful. There is no such thing as bum as his character Wally proved. If this episode doesn't touch your heart then you are not human. It's about a man of the street who is a bum, but loves and cares for people. He'll do anything to help others, though he has little himself. Jonathan and Mark becomes friends with him and help him seek the mission is was destined for. Written and directed by Michael Landon, this was probably the best episode he did in the series. A must see.

There is a Jewish tradition that there are 36 righteous people in the world for whose sake the whole world continues to exist. They are so humble that they do not know that they are one of the 36. Wally was one of those 36.
