The Andersons think back to a memorable Christmas they had 4 years ago.
This is just a flashback episode to Season 1 but a great Christmas episode, one of the best in the series. The newly filmed parts are quite good too. We see the family trimming the tree and then the flashback starts. Jim wants to cut down a fresh tree on Christmas Eve and convinces the family to drive out into the woods. Snow forces them to to take refuge in an old cabin. A white bearded man named Old Nick gives them food and Christmas cheer. He is played by old movie veteran Wallace Ford. Many good heartwarming scenes. The biggest contrast in the show is seeing how big Kathy has grown since the older filmed scenes.
