"Community Relations" begins with Harris betting that he can quit smoking, while Yemana quits gambling (Yemana: "Japanese got a lotta will power!"). Wojo finds it difficult to testify in court without vomiting because of his fear of speaking in front of crowds (Yemana: "that won't impress a jury!"). Joseph Perry (second of four episodes) plays a slumlord trying to evict the last remaining tenant in an apartment building due for demolition. Judson Morgan (4 episodes) plays that tenant, elderly Phillip Lukeather, a decorated war hero with no other place to live. One of the more surprising arrests is shoplifter Leon Roth (Ralph Manza, second of six episodes), a blind man disgusted with being constantly robbed, figuring the element of surprise would favor a blind man (Yemana: "I was surprised!"). Roth offers his observations on Harris (a nervous liar) and especially Nick (Yemana: "How do I feel?" Roth: "you? well, you're cool and collected, got a lot of personal discipline, you're very very intelligent...either that or you're Japanese!"). Both Roth and Lukeather would reappear together in one episode, "People's Court."
