Warning: Spoilers
This does contain spoilers. I saw part of this at a film festival in New Mexico in February 2005. It wasn't what I had expected. In fact I didn't even know that they were going to show it. I had attended the film festival to see a screening of Rick Schroder's movie Black Cloud. And to hopefully meet him since he was at the event. I grew up having a childhood crush on him and as an adult I now have great respect for him as an actor, writer, producer and director of TV shows, movies, and music videos. I did get that chance. But 14 Days In America was a great surprise. I really liked it and thought that this was a very thought provoking and touching piece of work. Very much a documentary or interview of multiple people from different towns around the country. I really enjoy knowing what people think and this has them saying what they think and feel. The people in this film are real everyday people that you would meet on the street, they were not acting. One of the towns was mine and I did see people that I have met. You see people that are confidant about going in front of the camera and also those that are either shy or embarrassed reminding you that they are not using people that are accustomed to doing this type of thing. There were many topics discussed, but the only one that really sticks in my mind is what had happened on September 11th. I really enjoyed seeing this last year. I hope that one day soon I will be able to get it on DVD.
