Rockman X2: Electric Boogaloo!

Mega Man X (Rockman X) was so popular they made a sequel simply called Mega Man X2. The story is simple. After X defeated Sigma in the first game, a group of surviving Mavericks (Irregulars) hide in a factory and have begun making new ones. They also have a plan to have the deceased Zero join them, so X and Dr. Cain must get Zero's parts back before that happens.

Graphics: Same as first = 9/10.

Sound: We have this god-awful mid-boss music, and the other music sounds better but bland = 5/10.

Mavericks: Rather cool ones, but easy to forget later. 8/10.

Overall: 7/10 P.S.: There's an baddie made of parts of dudes from the fist Rockman X.

Another Good Sequel That Improves On Things

Mega Man X2 is the sequel to Mega Man X, a game that not only brought the Mega Man series to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, but also started the Mega Man X series, which is a series set 100 years after the events of the original Mega Man games.

Set six months after the events of the first game, Mega Man X (or X for short) assumes leadership of the Maverick Hunters, launching a full assault at a Reploid factory where the game's intro stage is set. However, three Mavericks calling themselves the X-Hunters have set up base in the North Pole, and even go as far as to steal parts of Zero's body in a plot to revive him as a Maverick.

This game is basically like the first, as you have to blast your way through eight stages to face the boss of the level. To expand on the gameplay, the game adds optional bosses in the form of the X-Hunters, as they will teleport to different levels when a player exits a level, and when defeated, will give up a part of Zero. Also, the game introduces new abilities like the air dash. Which when X gets the leg upgrades to his armor, can allow him to dash in mid-air, and the Giga Crush, a weapon tied to the body upgrade, which is powered by taking damage, and when full, can be used to unleash an attack destroying all enemies on screen. It is a neat example of how sequels should improve on their predecessor.
