I enjoy seeing Independent Films and found The Five Stages of Beer to be fun. It was well paced (no boring parts) and made me laugh. Definitely not run of the mill or a formula film. It draws on real life as an inspiration to dealing with the opposite sex. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a having a good time and who doesn't want to have to think about what they are watching.

The best independent film I have ever seen...WELL Done!

This film was shot in 9 days and is just amazing...story line was good, casting was phenomenal. Brian Mix and Mark Yturralde have done an excellent job in directing/producing this full-feature movie and deserve a standing ovation. Bravo!
About San Diego Location

Since this movie was made in San Diego, it featured a couple of my favorite bars - Live Wire and Liar's Club. It was great to see my hometown highlighted in this movie, even one of our local ales - Arrogant Bastard Ale!
Hated It!!

Stopped by to see 5SOB at Park City. From the title it sounded like it might be fun. WRONG!! I realize that you have to wade through a lot of crud at Sundance looking for the next "Napoleon Dynamite" but this "movie" sucked worse than anything else I've ever seen there. It was excruciatingly slow and boring, the acting was terrible, the characters were juvenile, and half the crowd walked out before it was over. A film like this makes me realize and appreciate just how difficult it is to make a good movie. To the producers: I'm sure you had good intentions and worked hard on this POS, but please, for all our sakes, take up a different career.
