I came across this film by chance one evening and ordered it from Amazon, curious to see how the " Romeo and Juliet " story would be depicted in a more modern and Latin American rendition brought to the screen. I found the acting to be of good quality and for some of the actors in it have gone to star in more films thereafter. The romantic story is amidst violence and rivalry between two Latin nationalities - the Mexicans and the Salvadorians. The love story flourishing between two adolescents, the boy of Mexican origin and the girl of Salvadorian despite their feuding families over their own drama. Although, there are fighting scenes and some more severe, there are also entertainment scenes of music, rap battles all in favor of the growing underground hip hop scene in Los Angeles in the early 2000's. I recommend this flick for a Friday or Saturday evening in !
