Village family drama
cohuman22 August 2019
Karthik is the back bone of this movie . He dances, acts and emotes well. He was on top till 2000s . Wish he had continued further . Manthara is pretty and cute . She suits the rich girl's role to the T with her silks and jewels . Divya Unni hardly has anything to do except look cute and lost . Manorama , the matriarch of a big rich family is depressed thinking of her family and village prestige which is threatened by Radha Ravi ( a rival land lord ). When she is unwell, the news comes that her grand son is returning back from US . Karthik meanwhile is from the near by village and is in the process of building a temple . His funds are drying up and he is in deep trouble. Manorama sends Goundarmani and Senthil to get her grand son from the city . When Goundarmani realises that the grandson is quitely planning to sell the entire village property to build a casino in US ,he kills him inadvertently . He trains Karthik ( who had accompanied him to the city ) to pose as he grand son for a few days till she gets well. Karthik reluctantly agrees as he can get some funding for his temple this way . Now starts the comedy of errors . Karthik is slowly drawn in by affectionate Manorama .Her other grand daughter Manthara slowly starts liking him thanx to some misunderstandings . He meanwhile desires Divya Unni who he had met when he was building the temple . A lot of twists, turnings, confusions later , all becomes well. The movie has nice duets in nice locales . I always found Senthil and Goundarmani comedy a bit loud and crass .
