Hilarious!

I thought I was gonna get a hernia, I was laughing so hard at this! Some of the funniest moments I remember are as follows:

Richard Dawson said "Name the month in which a woman looks pregnant." and the contestant said "September!". And when the next contestant came on, Dawson was laughing so hard he couldn't even read the question.

On "Card Sharks", this huge woman wrestler lifts Bob Eubanks over her head.

On "The New Newlywed Game", Bob accidentally says "25-point boner question".

On the UK's version of the "Feud", a contestant answers the first three fast-money questions "Turkey!".

On "Match Game", a contestant almost said retarded when she actually meant retired.

Every moment on "Password" in which a contestant or celebrity accidentally gave away the clue.

On "The $25,000 Pyramid", in the winner's circle, the category was things that are stiff and one of the two contestants said "An erection!".

On "The Gong Show", a lady's dentures fell out.

On "Name That Tune", a contestant got the answer right and almost fell over. And by the way, the correct answer was "Catch Me, I'm Falling". Go figure.

I, for one, am so glad this was made, and I REALLY hope they do another one.

Absolutely Hilarious!

Here's hoping that NBC reruns this game show special soon. Hosted by veteran game show hosts Peter Marshall (The Hollywood Squares), Bob Eubanks (The Newlywed Game), Jim Lange (The Dating Game), and Wink Martindale (Tic Tac Dough), as well as Ben Stein (Win Ben Stein's Money), this show featured hilarious and outrageous clips from old and new game shows, American and British.

There is not a dull moment in this show... except for maybe when the hosts are blabbing on and not being funny... but other than that, this show will have you rolling on the floor laughing for the entire hour.

Disappointing

This special which supposedly featured the funniest, most amazing, most outrageous clips from game show history was a major disappointment in my eyes. Almost all of the clips they showed were of sexual nature and very disgusting. Another thing that kind of aggravated me, almost all of the clips were either taken from "The Newlywed Game" or "The Dating Game."

The clips that were not of sexual nature were pretty funny, though. I wish they had shown more like that. There's one from the British "Family Feud" ("Family Fortunes") that will have you rolling off the couch!

Another complaint I have is they kept building up this one clip they showed at the end of the show calling it "the most outrageous clip ever" and making this huge climax, and it turns out to be: 1) From "The Newlywed Game," and 2) Unfunny, disgusting, and distasteful.

All in all, this is a mediocre production at best that focused WAY too much on sex appeal. They should have toned down the smut and showed some clips that are actually tasteful. And the sequels to follow were not much better. 5/10

Wonderful archive of funny moments

This is a wonderful collection of classic, jaw-dropping, fun moments from many classic game shows. If not for two things, it would be perfect. One: The patter among the hosts is mostly dull and unnecessary and takes up precious airtime from the hilarious clips. Two: For whatever reason, "Truth or Consequences" and "The Price is Right" were excluded, so it's not a comprehensive program. We all know that many, many uproarious moments occurred on both of those shows. Still, it's great to see this collection of clips. What's sad is that so many of the people who were the best hosts/guests are now gone (Gene Rayburn, Paul Lynde, Bert Convy, etc...) and it's a tragedy that so much of Lynde's "Hollywood Squares" stuff was destroyed. No one ever tossed off a zinger like him. This hour is worth it just to see the hair and clothes of the contestants (notably on "The Newleywed Game"!) and for glimpses of celebs in the past (Schwarzenegger, a very charming Burt Reynolds, Ray Bolger...) The British versions of the shows are also fascinating. The show wisely pays tribute to the glory days of game shows (the '70's) with priceless moments from "Match Game" and "Family Feud" (the clip in which Richard Dawson cracks up is just too funny.) Those were the days and the more contemporary clips pale wildly in comparison. I have shown the tape of this show to friends and literally tears are streaming from the laughs. Also, I am in shock as to how stupid the general public can be (as evidenced by the surveys done by the hosts of this special.) If it runs again, TAPE IT! It's terrific.

This show, and the 'sequels' are must sees. Many of the good segments have already been mention, but surprisingly, no one said the biggest part from this show. The urban legend that actually happened. I am referring to the Newlywed Game contestant revealing the strangest place she has ever had the urge to make whoopie. Not understanding the question, she replied "In the a**" I've heard this story many many times and no one had ever shown the footage, until this show.

as for the lack of Paul Lynde quips, I think that was intentional. For the most part, the show was showcasing genuine moments. Not scripted ones like the jokes on Hollywood Squares. It is funnier when there ISN'T a team of writers coming up with the jokes beforehand.
