I wanted to like this movie, I truly did. And in some ways, I actually did. Being a Korean, watching this movie made me crave this innate desire to go to Korea and be with my fellow countrymen... or whatever. I mean, this movie was good at doing that. However, it relied way too much on shock effect to entertain or make a point. The point it tried to make (something along the lines of perseverance and goodness will win over evil) was kind of clichéd, idealistic, and diluted due to the fact that there was poor character development. I actually did almost care for the characters, I mean, they played their roles well. However, it wasn't complete due to the fact that nothing made sense. The characters seem to jump from place to place with HUGE gaps of time. The plot line seemed to be poorly thought out. This movie, honestly, had huge potential. I didn't even really mind the bad special effects. But it needed more substance to be believable.
