SummerSlam 2000 was the 13th annual SummerSlam event that took place on August 27, 2000 at the Raleigh Entertainment Sports Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. Attendence was said to be at 17,002 with a 570,000 buyrate. The Roster was stacked and the best roster in the history of the company by that time period. Tag Team division was incredible and arenas sold-out faster than ever. The Rock was the face to the WWF/E at the time when Stone Cold was absent and he was one of the biggest draws in wrestling history. Triple H took the top heel role well which was missing for years. The 2 had an outstanding rivalry. Kurt Angle also was beginning his rise being involved in a love Triangle with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. We also got the great TLC which set the future for the match type itself.
The Good - The TLC which involved Edge & Christian, The Hardys, and The Dudleys stole the entire show. Crowd was hot and all the bumps were taken really well. Edge & Christian winning got great heat as a heel duo as they barely took as much damage as their opponents. Lots of memorable spots. The main event was really good too. The storyline, all though entertaining, kinda derailed the WWF Championship importance to the match. Props to the Rock, HHH, and Stephanie carrying Kurt Angle who had a concussion after a major botch on the annonce table. Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit was also an awesome match as both had tremendous chemistry. Shane McMahon fall to was a memorable highlight.
The Meh - I guess Road Dogg vs. X-Pac was okay. Nothing else to remember about it aside from the ending of Road Dogg knocking out X-Pac. The mix-tag was also pretty good. Could have gone at a better paste but it was still entertaining.
The Bad - The Kat vs. Terri might be the worst SummerSlam match in history. Awful battling especially when both were trying to dodge attacks in heels. The opening was bad and not a great way to kick off the show. Also found Tazz vs. Lawler a lackluster.
Overall - Solid show. I think it's the best SummerSlam in comparison to the previous ones before this one. Great Wrestling and hot crowd got this show rolling. Spectacular TLC match and 2 out of 3 Falls were the highlights of this show.
