Sex & Nudity

  • On the night before the wedding, Basilio and Kitri "camp out" near a windmill and presumably make love, though this is never specified. He kisses her and nuzzles her a few times and then, after she lies down on top of him, he looks out at the audience watching the ballet as if to say "What are you doing here?" (this is intended to be funny). He then places his guitar so that the audience will not be able to see what they are doing.

Violence & Gore

  • Don Quixote fights the windmill thinking it's a giant, but we don't see the actual fight. We only see him falling off the sail of the windmill.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • At the wedding of Gamache and Kitri, Basilio pretends to stab himself out of heartbroken grief. As he lies "dying", he asks Kitri to marry him and for Don Quixote to bless their union. As part of this request he comically and playfully steals a kiss from her every few seconds. Then he takes her hand and whie holding it with one hand, places his other hand on both her breasts (which are covered by her dress). It is supposed to be a heartfelt vow or something, but this bit of business is staged to look as if he were "feeling her up", in a G-rated sort of way.

Violence & Gore

  • The phony suicide, which isn't gory at all.
