Good psychological movie from 80's in communist Slovakia (part of Czechoslovakia). Young teacher (Rotarides) struggles to go ahead in his life while preserving his values and honesty. The movie shows the classes in a "classless" socialist society. The ones living the life oficialy denied to exist (money as a goal) having good time. At the end - honesty prevails. The whole movie is rather slow in telling the story. The few leading characters are pictured very well and detailed. The music was composed by one of the best contemporary composer and Performer Marian Varga. Movie was filmed in Bratislava - the capitol and in a small town of Hurbanovo (the astronomical observatory scenes).
