Absolutely unwatchable "comedy" about a sexist idiot who wants to enlist in the Hong Kong police but is too short, so he goes around on his own pretending to be a cop and busting criminals. One day he gets shot by three bank robbers (who just happen to be men in drag) and dies, but returns as a ghost to help the police commissioner arrest the robbers, because they've assigned a woman (Yukari Oshima) to the case, and how could a woman ever do a job right? "Spiritually A Cop" is a hard movie to come by, but if you do get your hands on it, my advice is to skip the entire first hour, which is just an unbelievably unfunny "comedy" (they can't even get their ghost "facts" straight: sometimes they can see him, sometimes they can't, sometimes he can interact with objects and people, sometimes he can't, etc). Then Yukari Oshima and another woman start fighting with some thugs in a restaurant and you get hopeful....but the fight lasts about 30 seconds. A few more chapter skips and we get to the ONLY part of the movie that is worth seeing, the Yukari Oshima vs. Elaine Lui fight. Elaine seems to pop out of nowhere, but I'm not complaining: she's one of the few women who can look 100% credible as tough opponents for Yukari, and their fight is very satisfying. It's also the only thing that saves "Spiritually A Cop" from being the worst Yukari film I've seen so far - the title still goes to "Ultracop 2000". * out of 4, but Yukari vs. Elaine gets a ***
