Sex & Nudity

  • A woman dresses in a moderately revealing circus costume for her hi-diving act on horseback. The costume bears minor cleavage.

Violence & Gore

  • Minor fist fight between 1 cowboy and 3 gypsies.
  • 1 cowboy punches another cowboy after being called a horse thief one last time.
  • Gwangi makes his sudden debut by attacking and eating a smaller dinosaur fleeing wrangling cowboys.
  • A pterodactyl flies off with a mule. The former owners discover blood in the surrounding area where the mule was last seen.
  • A boy suffers wounds to his back after having been carried off by the same pterodactyl seen previously. Minor blood is seen on his exposed back.
  • Gwangi battles another huge dinosaur. He briefly eats the creature before chasing escaping cowboys. Blood and bite wounds are seen throughout the creature's body.
  • Gwangi claims his first human victim as he pursued a band fleeing cowboys escaping his Forbidden Valley. He picks off a lagging cowboy and is briefly seen eating him as he kicks and screams, before resuming his chase.
  • Gwangi attacks a gypsy dwarf who unlocks his cage before Gwangi's circus debut. He is seen briefly holding his victim in his jaws much to the horror of the crowd before he lowers his head out of frame to eat him.
  • After Gwangi escapes a city circus, he attacks and kills an elephant. After feeding on the animal, Gwangi pursues fleeing townspeople, blood from the elephant is seen on Gwangi's jaws.
  • Gwangi takes his last victim when he escapes a town arena, holding a fleeing townsman in his jaws before chasing after fleeing show attendees.

Profanity

  • One time the word "hell" is used by an old gypsy. This is only used as a reference to the kind of curse humanity will suffer for disobeying the "Law of Gwangi" by trespassing into the Forbidden Valley.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A man is seen smoking a cigar at certain parts of the movie
  • A cowboy encourages an old man to have a "drink". However, it is not seen being consumed on screen.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • During the course of the latter 30 to 45 minutes of the film, Gwangi's rampage includes the eating of other dinosaurs as well as human beings. All total, he eats 3 dinosaurs. A total of 3 human casualties, including 1 cowboy, 1 gypsy dwarf and 1 townsman. Gwangi also fights and eats a circus elephant.
  • During the closing moments of the film, Gwangi is seen burnt alive inside a city cathedral. It takes several long agonizing minutes for Gwangi to succumb to the fire.
