Director: RALPH CEDER. Screenplay: Paul Girard Smith. Story: Mauri Grashin. Film editor: Claude Berkeley. Photography: Harry Forbes. Music director: Francis Gromon. Sound recording: Ted Lester, C.A. Younger. Producer: Fred Lalley. Made at Pathé Studios.
Copyright 11 January 1931 by Pathé Exchange, Inc. Follies Comedies presented by E.B. Derr through Pathé Exchange: 11 January 1931. 2 reels. 18 minutes.
COMMENT: In this oddity, Edgar Kennedy has a supporting role to bustling short-stop Daphne Pollard whose aggressive imbecility creams both Edgar himself and his accomplice, Arthur Housman. Although the plot line contrives to be both thin yet way-out, it is presented with sufficient speed and élan to make it tolerably amusing. A nice print helps.
AVAILABLE on DVD through VCI. Quality rating: Ten out of ten.
