Produced, written and directed by Marilyn Edmond that centers on a worker at a hardware store, Brian (Kevin Guthrie) living in a small Scottish town when his co-worker, Gavin (Cameron Fulton) informs him about a former school chum name Dave has just took his own life. And it appears at first, Brian was touched by the news as soon as he leaves work, he then makes an attempt at jumping off of an edge. He is then stopped by a guy name Jeff (Stephen McCole) and intends to be his friend as well as call him each day to find out how he is doing. He also invites him to be a volunteer at the old folks home that he runs. By the time he returns home to his flat, we are then meet his roommate, Eric (Conor McCarron). Brian then receives a call from his mom to come and celebrate his grandmother's birthday. On the following day we are then introduced to more characters such as his mom, Maureen (Jennifer Black); his distant dad, Jim (John McColl); Brian's sister, Deborah (Sara Vickers) and her baby, Ollie as they are celebrating their grandmother, Rose's (Dolina MacLennan) birthday party celebrating with other friends. And by the next day, he then volunteers at the old folks home, where Jeff happens to own the entire facility, it is is there he meets his eventual love interest, Sam (Siobhan Reilly) who has a son of her own, Jake and her husband, Simon (Neil Leiper).

Some scenes work while others do not such as the scene where (spoiler alert) when Brian receives a call from her sister, Debbie to come over and see her. Brian suddenly leaves abruptly in the middle of night after he is making out with his girlfriend, Sam. And by the time he arrives at his sister's place, his sister informs him that her husband had just cheating on her. Consoling her toward to living in their parents place, to which as a result of that one night stand, Sam assumed Brian was a player. To which the movie could have avoided any type of confusion had he woke Sam up a little and inform her that he was heading toward his sister's. Ending the movie in a twist, regarding the true identity of Brian's roommate, Eric to which it turns out is actually Brian's brother, the reason why he had many suicidal thoughts. That the person viewers thought was alive, was actually dead all along he was just someone Brian conjured up in his head without realizing he had been dead all along. Brian takes his own life by hanging when his mother asked him to grab beer from the garage.
