So enjoyed Vindication Swim- the true life tale of Mercedes Gleitz, a courageous young woman who had to work so hard to be recognised as the first British female to swim the channel . The young writer / director has captured the spirit of this early 1900s era with a combination of black and white/ colour atmospheric cinematography. Costumes, vehicles and buildings are accurately " of the time" .The scenes set at sea show the harsh conditions experienced by both the swimmer herself and the support team ( no sat nav and motors)! This young writer/ director Elliott Hasler shows great promise. Well worth a watch.
