I absolutely loved the first two seasons of this series. Janine's incessant optimism and dedication to her vocation was the heart and soul of this series. Ava's over-the-top antics and quick-fire one liners added an additional layer of hilarity.
However, the third season feels a bit flat and disjointed to me so far. Taking Janine out of the classroom and away from her colleagues hasn't helped. Neither has Ava's toned down personality. Thank goodness we still have solid supporting characters like Barbara, Melissa, Gregory, Jacob and Mr. Johnson who have been the saving grace of the current season thus far.
Despite being slightly disappointed with the first five episodes of season three, I'll continue to watch as I have hope things will improve.
