Endearing film about a mollusc

Warning: Spoilers
I loved this endearing little film about a mollusc with shoes who inhabits a B&B and misses the family that used to live there. There's a meta quality to this film that is pretending to be a documentary about a documentary film maker trying to make a documentary. Director, Dean Fleischer Camp plays himself. Marcel is voiced by Jenny Slate and Isabella Rossellini voices Marcel's grandmother Connie. After she has a fall and her health begins to decline, Connie lovingly and wisely prepares Marcel for a time when she won't be around anymore. Marcel becomes an internet sensation after he goes online to try to trace his lost relatives and before long the 60 Minutes team turns up for an exclusive interview. The dialogue is brilliantly written and very naturally delivered, especially by Jenny Slate. Our four year old grandson selected this one off the menu but soon lost interest. It's definitely more targeted toward adults and is well deserving of its Oscar and BAFTA nominations for best animated feature.
