Partially, the problem is the leads. They are great actors, don't get me wrong, but I don't particularly like either of them in that I don't find them very watchable. The last thing I saw her in, I was really put off it because - you know when someone is perfectly likeable but you're just not sympatico?
And I feel the same about him. If you swapped the roles of her and her older sister in this, I'd be much happier. And you could swap our hero with either of his friends or anyone else and I'd be more content.
I don't think I'm gonna get past episode four at this rate, much as I love her mum and dad, and I'll generally watch anything with either of them in it. Mum jogging up the road in her pjs is just gold.
