Atrocious!
4 December 2023
Boyapati's Paruvu lost and found story where every character, positive or negative screams about it throughout. 2 states CMs are after each other's throat as one's son eloped with the other's daughter. So one has sent men to kill the CM and his, retrieve the daughter in return. Meanwhile, enters Bhaskar Raju with his own mission and at times enters Skanda to kill a bunch. Both of whom are directly targeting the CMs. There is also a businessman accused of murder and his daughter held hostage to force him to stay in prison. How are all these people related and will that paruvu be found infact whose paruvu will be found, forms rest of the story.

It's mindless screenplay and action scenes from the word go with Boyapati giving no respite to his audience. The hero's entry happens late so the supporting characters are introduced first followed by the whole cribbing about losing daughter/paruvu. It simply doesn't make any sense no matter how loud the characters shout in making any sense. It's random set of scenes stitched together without any semblance. It simply gets dragged on till an explosive climax giving a meh twist.

If one hoped for a flashback to make sense which is always the case with all Boyapati films and elevate the stronger lookalike, it is not delivered here. Even if the flashback was silly, there was a chance of saving this mess a little with more clarity to the character of Skanda when he is a lookalike to Bhaskar Raju yet not related to him. Having the film titled as Skanda and not focus the film on this character yet show the arrogance to announce Skanda 2 is nothing but a huge blunder from Boyapati Srinu. There is no point talking about performances, the dialogues too are plain silly and the over the top action scenes lack imagination. Skanda simply ends up as a worst film and that's about it. To be or not to be, says Skanda and one shouldn't wonder why.
