Wingwomen

2 women, played by Adèle Exarchopoulos and Mélanie Laurent have been great friends and professional big item thieves for years. One becomes pregnant and indeed both decide that they want an ordinary life much to the fury of their cold blooded boss, played by Isabelle Adjani. They agree to take on one more big heist, involving the recruitment of a third, new colleague, Manon Bresch but inevitably not all goes to plan.

Whilst there are a number of fast and furious action sequences laced with often enjoyable dark humour and indeed a flavour of Charley's Angels here, there is much more to this. The great focus here is on the powerful friendship between the 2 principal characters who, whilst often rowing and take the mick, clearly adore each other which adds so much to what could otherwise have been another plain tough girl action movie. It is rarely predictable and sharp throughout with a number of good ideas and marred only slightly by an ending the makers thought they could get away with, but haven't.
