I normally like cozy mysteries, to the surprise of anyone who knows me. I even like some of Hallmarks movies. I have read all the Goldy mysteries and can't express just how disappointing this screen adaptation is for me.
Not one character is even close to form in this film. They are stiff and phony. None of them have the relationships from the books and I am baffled that Diane Mott Davidson would do this unless it was just for the money.
Save the 1 hour and 26 minutes you will never get back and read the books. They are behind the times, but they are so much better than Hallmarks bleached version.
