This early 80s anthology is inexplicably set in New York City but all of the short stories are British. Our "hosts" are a couple of sleazy unlikable dude bros and it's never explained, either, why they're allowed to ransack and take over the apartment of a woman who insists she's getting ready for a date. I think the implication is that she's a prostitute and the rudest of the two men is her pimp but that never actually plays out.

However, the stories are all very childlike, the sort of thing you would have seen on Tales from the Darkside on prime time television around the same era. I think the best tale was the middle one with the housewife in dark glasses. Part of the attraction of the anthology is what a nostalgia time capsule it is, because I doubt the production quality would appeal to an age-appropriate Gen Z audience and the level of creepiness won't frighten anyone old enough to remember the 1980s.
