The. Scientology-inspired religious cult angle is strange but it's okay. Delving into the Deep's deep-seated body issues is actually good. He's getting some development, vs A-Train, who seems to just be a plot convenience to threaten Starlight.
Stormfront is an interesting addition, a feminist ally of Starlight perhaps? Yet she seems to side with Homelander a bit too much for comfort.
