Alright I accept this stupid websites challenge of 600 words. I could just use AI to generate a review so I can write my actual one, but I like this one so much I will write 600 words. And the 6.5 rating is lies. Yeah they don't want you to see this one because it features the ideal female form yet does not confuse feminity vs masculinity. Unlike what advertisements will have you believe this show has girls as they really are in university. Body proportions inaccurate? I have experienced it myself and this show actually hit a competitive school vibe, putting down real life because the characters here act honorably. What really sells it is the blunt vulgar subtitles. The sub is very very good over the dub which has raspy badly emoted voices. While the action isn't all there animation wise, the background visuals are pretty especially in lighting, and there are many beautiful scenes in this that have classic anime reminscense rather than being over bold. I could see 7 seasons more of this if they expand on the singular issue of the animation of magic casts broadly, but the rest of the design right up until every magic cast is so good in making it seem algorithmic and is unassuming to the viewer. I really like this. There are scenes where they bring the darkness out and it's genuine. I really want more. This could be an incredibly moving piece as a whole in the end if (god please continue it) Alto becomes a legendary mage and Vermeil must leave him inevitably because humans only live so long, and it would probably have some story rather than old age, this could turn to being heart wrenching rather than funny dark. They left so many doors open with this one it could happen, and the characters gathered already are likeable in design and writing.
