Season 2, Episode 21
Terrifying, Captivating, Incredible

I think aside from the beautiful and gut wrenching writing the exceptionality has to be attributed to Omar Epps' incredible performance. This show often seems silly and unnecessary at times causing me to be apathetic to some plot lines. This episode made me eat my words and little conflicts such as the article dispute between Cameron and Foreman by making it not only mean something but show the growth of both characters. Another great feature is the conditioning of the viewers into a false comfort such as House always being risky and convincing Cuddy into bending rules, Cameron's empathy being sort of a detriment and annoyance, and Foreman trying to maintain as much independence as he can, this episode flips all of these and throws the viewers into unknown terrain and displays the strengths of the characters with often little power and the weaknesses of those who often win. Even if this episode did not have this layer of depth it would still be exceptional for the acting alone. Omar Epps' acting in this episode made me think I could see him act in anything and be enthralled by his performance no matter what.
