It's actually great once you give it a few eps. I think too many people are watching episode one and assuming the whole show is like that. The characters and the story get much better and feel more authentic as the series goes on. Would also add that though it is advertised as a comedy drama, it's not going to leave you writhing round the floor struggling to breathe from laughter. It's funny but more like 'Ghosts' (UK obviously) type of humour.
One of the biggest highlights for me was the sweet relationship between Rachel and ex-cult member Joshua, who she meets while preaching. I hope I see more of them in series 2.
