I'm a bit torn on this after seeing American High School (the other film from the writer/director)... that one is a parody of high school movies, & I think this is suppose to a parody of horror films.
Some of it is intentionally bad, or played for laughs, and then some parts are suppose to be taken super serious.
It's a decent attempt for indie horror, and I think it's worth a watch, if only for completionists in these kind of projects.
Red Letter Media reviewed it a few months ago, and that's why I'm here.
When people talk about a script, I think the core concepts are pretty good, if done a million times before. The acting is especially bad- but if you have actors that don't know any better saying the same line as a trained actor, you're going to get a lot different results.
Picture the same movie setup with a slightly larger budget, and some actual actors, and I think it'd be decent. Given it a high review based on the potential and rethinking the movie with better production value.
