I watch too many bad movies. Although "bad" might not be the right word for Nocebo. It's competent, technically serviceable and has some good actors. But my ratings are subjective. And subjectively, Nocebo does almost nothing for me.
It's really boring. The only time I was intrigued was the very beginning before I realized how useless it all is. At no point was I ever scared or creeped out. It's highly predictable. I seriously guessed almost everything and my confidence never waivered.
They use flashbacks for backstory, but what I really wanted to see was how the entire premise even comes about. The antagonist's plan seems to be based on so much random coincidence and luck.
In the end, the decent quality does not save this movie from being a waste of time. It feels like another throwaway streaming movie, one that would never have been greenlit before the days of streaming movie overflow. (1 viewing, 5/6/2023)
