Not too old for this ...

No pun intended - Walter Matthau and Ossie Davis, two of the best to grace (or is graze? Maybe both) our screens. And as others have said before me, the movie is able to get the most out of both of them. Of course their age plays a big role - and age and how society looks down (mostly) on the elders ... but it also has some side stories - about drugs and about abuse of others.

But this being (more) a comedy, so do not expect this to be too harsh or explicit when it comes to certain downfalls. That said, it does not shy away to show repercussions - if you mess with the wrong crowd (even if it is for the right reasons), you will get hurt.

Still the movie centers between our the seemingly unlikely pairing. It is the right time (and right place) for them to meet up - grumpy vs discriminating. It is not about one winning over the other. It is about those two being different, but completing each other. Making each other laugh - and us too. And before you ask: I am not Rappaport ...
