I will say one thing about this film. It is a nice mix of A list actors and has beens. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe The Swarm had eight Oscar winners, this one has none.
Other than that, this film did what you would think The Swarm and Beyond the Poseidon Adventure already did: killed the disaster film genre. At least those films had some fun camp redemption. This one is just boring.
This film is basically a terrible TV movie with Paul Newman with Hawaiian locales. It has no redeeming qualities. It doesn't even have the good grace of having some bad camp comic relief.
Is love to know what Holden, Newman and Bisset got paid to do this.
