With all that passes for good film making, this one is an excellently made film that I could not take my eyes off of. What was more compelling was that the events in the picture were true. This is what saints are made of and I could not bring myself to believe that this happened less than 100 years ago. The acting, the directing, the cinemetography, the script, the music, all came together to put many a high budget Hollywood film to shame. Yes, it was about a war on faith but it was in no way preachy and kept to the facts as they are known, and could be verified by documents and films of the time. It was interesting at the end that the director showed some of this historic footage which he recreated in the film. Viva Christo Re was the battle cry and I say Viva Good Film Making. A must see.
