Shawn Thompson and Eric McCormack were good comedic actors and had a rapport between them. Roma Downey is very beautiful and a fine actress. There was a pleasant chemistry between McCormack and Downey. The characters seemed authentic. Except for Kevin Hicks as Jerry Russell, his performance wasn't very convincing as Zoey's father. Zoey was a very realistic and sweet child (most of the time), good acting for an 8 year old. I thought the story was original (to me). I enjoyed it and the clever banter among the characters. It was a nice distraction from the cares of life. I liked Hector Elizondo's performance of a mixture of kindness and honesty. Reviewers: give credit where credit is due!!
