"Is my son the only evidence you have?"

Warning: Spoilers
A direct sequel to 1992's 'Universal Soldier' but made for television and its not that good. Matt Bataglia as Luc Devreaux is a poor substitute for the original's Jean Claude Van Damme and Chandra West as Veronica is a pale shadow of the lively Ally Walker in the first movie. The story brings in a long lost brother for Luc, a bizarre cameo by Burt Reynolds as some kind of master villain and a painfully cliched role for the usually awesome Gary Busey. The main thing lacking is action which might be due to budget constraints but there is hardly any universal soldiering. The first half hour is particularly tedious. The music score is odd and the use of visual gimmickry is wearisome. (Such as random slow motion or a vehicle driving away in five or six needless film cuts.)

There was a sequel to this sequel apparently. Why?
