Chhello Show is a love letter to cinema in general. In its childlike innocence and poetic sense of wonder (both literally & figuratively), Last Film Show provides a unique insight into the showreel business through a humorous, yet relatable perspective. Its stupendous camera work and palliative music add to the film's overall poignant posture.
The simplicity of the writing won out. Although it is basic and rudimentary, it never got into much detail in the first place, but guess what? It never needed to. There was no intention on the part of the creators nor was complexity necessitated by circumstances. And I believe, a simple narrative often tells a story better than one that is replete with soulless sophistication.
And 'Chhello Show' is a testament to that fact!
