Mysterious footwork of Kung fu
9 December 2022
Chan Wai Man plays the super-assassin, with a penchant for over engineered weapons and causing grief and mayhem wherever he and his assistants, Crab & Shrimp go. A young kung fu fanatic is taught by a beggar and a grumpy old Shaolin monk so that he can beat the killers and restore peace to the region.

The hero - Charles Heung - is so simple-minded here, and that's where the comic aspects slips in, but his Kung fu is really good and flows more in movement when compared to other actors in a likeminded film. It's a standard Kung fu film, but quite enjoyable, especially where it comes to the fight scenes, which are robust and above average. The hero can be a bit annoying, though, with his dimwittedness; he's totally thick.
