This is a an impressive western. Much more than your average B movie with layers of stories running along side each other.
This results in a movie of great depth and interest with often the sub stories impacting on the main one. It provide twists and passion and an unusually high amount of tension for this level of movie.
The main plot is nothing new, its just delivered really well. Plenty of great action scenes to enjoy along the way.
The shorter running time also helps pack in the excitement.
Does the film have flaws? Sure but these are easily overlooked. In my opinion if the film had enjoyed a more charismatic leading man it would be better known story and rated higher.
For me this was one highly enjoyable surprise :)
