The greatest sin a movie can commit: It's boring
4 September 2022
This movie was so dull and boring I was googling real estate and reading about that instead while the movie droned on. I am just glad I watched it for free on Freevee.

The film is about a police detective investigating a possible satanic cult and abuse going on inside a dysfunctional family.

The best actor was the David Thewlis character because of his British accent.

Ethan Hawke played an angry cop with a side order of depression.

Emma Watson as Angela Gray, wearing colonial pilgrim styled dresses and falling in love with the much much older Ethan Hawke while droning on and on about the abuse in the family. I did observe she would make a great waitress at Frontier PIes wearing that get up.

As the poem goes, "A dream but a caravan, a caravan but a dream. The dog may bark but the caravan moves on" which accurately describes this film because as soon as I heard a dog barking outside my window I moved on from this movie which felt like a dead 40 pound Albatross around my neck.

I can't recommend this movie because it is dull and depressing.
