While the 1993 movie "Cliffhanger" from writers John Long, Michael France and Sylvester Stallone deviates from the usual action movies that Sylvester Stallone starred in back in the day, then director Renny Harlin actually managed to put together a wholesome and entertaining movie here.
The storyline is a very interesting one here in "Cliffhanger" and it is definitely the driving force of the movie. And it is nicely accompanied by a good amount of action and thrills. It is that combination of things that makes the 1993 movie "Cliffhanger" such an enjoyable movie to watch.
The scenery in the movie is great, and it feels like the audience is right there alongside the characters of the movie, scaling the mountains and trekking the rough terrain.
"Cliffhanger" has a great cast ensemble, that includes Sylvester Stallone, John Lithgow, Michael Rooker, Janine Turner and Rexx Linn. I have to say that John Lithgow always amaze me with his performance in "Cliffhanger", because he is so nicely cast for that particular role and he puts on a very convincing and believable performance.
This is definitely one of the more enjoyable of Sylvester Stallone movies. And this is one that I will and can warmly recommend you to watch, if you haven't already done so.
