Review of Luck

Luck (I) (2022)
7/10
entertaining, cute, touching animation movie
13 August 2022
First fully animated feature film by Skydance Media, Luck is a spanish-american co-production and involves a highly experienced animation expert as producer: John Lasseter.

'Luck' is highly entertaining, touching (the background story of Sam and her struggle with her new life) and is created with a lot of heart, wonderful details and fleshed out characters that it's simply a joy to watch this exciting movie.

In comparison with recent animation releases like 'Minions 2' (2022), 'Lightyear' (2022) or 'The Sea Beast' (2022), 'Luck' surprises by its clever story, lovely characters, fine humor and stunning ideas and leaves the competitors behind.

'Luck' is not innovative - but to be honest, what is? And it doesn't have to be -, but has a touching story motivated by the characters and has a good message (and by far not that thick dripping honey like in 'The Sea Beast') which makes the film very likeable.

Highly recommended. Give it a chance and enjoy.
