It's not original as similar concepts/plots have been done in other films and the ending was quite predictable in almost every regard. However, this isn't some mystery or suspense thriller where there needs to be intricate plots and twists. This is a family film and an enjoyable one at that. It is heartwarming, engaging and you become really invested in the main characters. The acting is great including the child star who plays Eddie Murphy's daughter. Not as funny as you would expect from an Eddie Murphy film, but still some funny moments. All round I really enjoyed this movie and I think if you don't go in expecting everything to be realistic from a FANTASY family film, then you will too.
