Harry Wild (2022– )

Warning: Spoilers
I only made it halfway thru the first episode and then bailed. I found the character of Harry obnoxious and crude. I just didn't like her. I thought from the trailer she was going to be charming, witty, and quirky. But no, I was wrong. I do like cranky, sarcastic, witty characters. I watch other shows with characters like that, that I like very much. I think they are trying too hard to make her hip with this gen of viewers, but it's just not working and she comes off as crass and frankly, unlikable.

From what I gather she is going to co-detect with the teenage kid. Oh joy. I didn't like the kid and the whole classroom scene. I didn't find him funny or clever. Just smug and arrogant. From reading the reviews, all her clues and figuring out stuff comes from literature. Not actual police-type work or research. There is no indication that she's a big crime buff or anything. She just retires from teaching literature one day, and bam, she's solving murder cases the next day.

Maybe I'm not being fair and should try 2 or 3 full episodes and see how it goes. I may give it another shot. Maybe hear what some of my friends think. But it was just very hard when you just don't like the lead character. I like Jane Seymour. Always have loved her in other roles. So I'm not sure what happened here. 3/10.
