I loved playing Resident Evil or even just watching someone else play it. I can understand how people who never played the game would not like this movie but for those who loved the game, this movie is awesome. It's so faithful to the game, even down to the first zombie you kill in the mansion. The look and feel of this movie pays homage to the game even down to the creepy music you hear when a zombie is close. This is something that someone who has never played RE would not understand. As far as movies go, yeah the Milla Jovavich versions are way more flashy and appealing to the eye but this captures the awesomeness that is Resident Evil the game.
