Trust No One, But the Title
29 January 2022
Took me awhile to see this, even though I was curious due to the poster and title. But, the first half or so kinda intrigued but at the same time bored me with its rendition of Sigourney Weaver's Death and the Maiden. I almost turned it off twice. BUT, then BAM! Half-way mark and the movie lives up to its title. I'll have to watch this quick, 80-minute, no-filler movie a second time to fully understand the mystery plot. It did rather confuse me. That said, the plot itself plays complete second fiddle to the violence and thoroughly realistic brutality. This looked amazing for a movie that majorly looked extremely low-budget. I loved the fight chorography & stunts and true feel to the punches. I highly recommend this Home Invasion movie to all horror fans. I'd have to look at all the other Home Invasions, and this might rank very well in the top 3.

Final Thoughts: While I questioned Lora Burke's Nurse character & motives, she did a great job and always reminded me of someone throughout. I loved Colin Paradine's stoic hostage and really thought Nick Smith's Chris kept his mouth open way too much. He ended up impressing me solidly as the movie progressed, but damn. Shut yer mouth, my dear!
